Fix Me Up by Zach Sobiech

“Fix Me Up” Lyrics
Tell me something you never told before
Before I walk through the door, I adore you, I adore you
I do, I do
Smile with me and cry with me
I won't ever tell a soul
Hold my hand
I'll squeeze it back
And I'll never let go
Never give up, never look back
I won't give up I'll keep on trying
Dry your tears up, all your crying
Cannot fix me up my darling
Fix me up my darling
Twisty, turning winding path
I could listen to your laugh
As we tiptoe on these humble truths
I don't want to lose you
Show me how to love deeper than the surface, my friend
And you can show me what it means to have purpose
And I'll tell you again
Never give up, never look back
I won't give up I'll keep on trying
Dry your tears up, all your crying
Cannot fix me up my darling
Fix me up my darling
Woh Woh Woh….. Hold on
Don't you lose hope the sky's not falling
Please just listen 'cause I'll be calling
Stay with me just one more moment
I know you're in pain just please don't show it
One more moment, please
It's too late I'm afraid I have to leave
[Repeat]
Promise me, promise me that you'll…
Never give up, never look back
I won't give up I'll keep on trying
Dry your tears up, all your crying
Cannot fix me up my darling
Fix me up my darling

I Was Irish Once

I was Irish once:

I was Irish for brief moments,
As they danced on makeshift stage.
Three sisters donned in green and white,
With ribbons in curled hair.

I was Irish for brief moments,
As locks bounced to rhythms tapped,
By jigging, flying feet,
Flitting blithely through the air.

I was Irish for brief moments,
Of merriment sublime,
Happy, joyful leaping,
Knees high, and lifted, kicking.

I was Irish for brief moments
Minstrels played their magic tunes,
And young girls moved in rocking fashion
Erin's reveries impassioned.

I was Irish for brief moments.
Sweetly skirted colleens,
Poised on pointed toes.
Sent hearts a-skipping, happy legs a-lifting,

I was Irish for brief moments,
As fairies with green ribbons
In coiffed and flaming hair,
Spun a golden space in memory's place.

I was Irish for brief moments,
And see again in dreaming,
Gladsome spinning, hopping, prancing,
Three sisters on stage dancing.

Yes, I was Irish once.

Happy 40th Anniversary, Baby - Video Creep Show!

Reproductive rights celebrated in style.  How out of fashion can God and His creation be? How fall can we fall? How darkened and blind can our society become.  Just wait and see: 54,000,000 and countin". Pray, pray, pray!!!

Happy 40th Anniversary, Baby.

Tough As Nails - Open Letter to God to God
We are willing to discard the person for the part.
"We've made great strides",  "...a long way, Baby."
You and Your creation shall serve us.
Yes, that is our "Way".
It makes perfect sense to us.
After all, You are invisible,
As invisible as a child within the womb,
That is, until the flesh is torn away.
We have the technology.
See, no cringing here. "Just do it!"
We're tough as nails.
You are familiar with nails?
Yes, tough as nails.
In this world you have to be!
Hello.  Knock, knock.  Are You there?
.... See, He doesn't care.
You hold Your anger, so we say,
"Where is this God of yours?".
Our world crumbles,
Chaos all around.
Evidence of Your absence or Your ire?
It doesn't matter.
You are the Past. We are Now!
If I pull Your beard, will You awaken.
Are You like us?
Will You take a poll
Or turn Your blind eyes?
In Your retirement or death,
We’ve found our voice. We've found our fist!
Not to worry. We've come a long way.
Crowned ourselves God!

Veterans Day–Passion of a Warrior

When did his passion begin?
Did it commence with the kiss
By which he bid his loved ones adieu.
Or did the call to battle
Bid him count the cost,
Shattering vanities and proud hoorahs,
With winter ice
Through veins
Piercing to the marrow of bone.
The Call was always greater
Than one man’s valor or presumption.
Holier than Adam could undertake in rage,
Yet a young David found an “Amen”
Rising within his shepherd- breast,
Shielded by hope and faith
Born of a Savior,
Borne into battle
By the foal that carried Him forth.
All battles,
Waged for the souls of men,
Find common ground;
Friend and foe,
Dying side by side.
As grains numbered as the sand,
And the blood,
Bridle high at Armageddon,
Corpses piled and claiming
The best among us,
As generations of spent warriors’ might,
Trust to God
To judge the heart of every man,
And wear his colors in His raiment.
Memories, born as festering wounds,
Or toughened scars,
Mark the man and record the Passion.
No jot or tiddle forgotten,
Fingered on the ground,
Condemning only the Accuser.
Angels minister the balm of Gilead
As the dead live again,
And the living love
Through the Darkness.
Mended hearts,
Held to a measure,
Weighed on scales of Mercy.
Are blessed.
None forgotten,
All forgiven.
How long? How long?
Martyrs witness the passion of the warrior,
And place merited crown,
And victor’s wreathe,
As a new name resounds,
Pronounced by the Mouth of God.

Yad VaShem - Remember

The names of the concentration and death camps...
The names of the concentration and death camps / Wikipedia

Yad VaShem - Remember
Stolen name replaced by number,
Savaged soul and broken heart.
Hell, a people to encumber.
Blind eyes outside in darkness.
Dead souls dismissed the human face.
Stolen name replaced by number
Rising from the ashes,
Pledging nevermore.
Hell, a people to encumber
Yad VaShem, the vault of memory,
Yad VaShem, the ground of tears
Stolen name replaced by number
Shoah: families, children.
Here named, remembered, mourned
Hell, a people to encumber
Faces pictured in the silence.
Tears cried forevermore.
Stolen name replaced by number
Hell, a people to encumber
