Who really died?
Who really died?
I never saw
The light of day.
Black descended,
Of a kind
I knew not,
And then no more....
How did I know you?
All I knew was you.
You flavored my becoming,
Your genes, my genes,
Your feelings,
Emotional rhythms,
Touching me
By blood connection.
All this,
And then no more.....
How did I feel you?
Warmth, gentle rocking
To and fro.
I felt you,
Heart-sounds
Surrounding me,
Pressing me,
Impressing me.
You whooshed at times
And hummed.
And then no more.....
How did I leave you?
I knew anguish
As once I knew you,
Your blood feeding mine,
I knew as parting,
Leaving behind mother
As gift withdrawn,
And bid goodbye.
Too young for endings,
Too soon to die,
And then no more.....
How now and by and by?
Sorrow and black
And then the Light.
New Day, as womb,
Enfolding me.
Life ending
Beginning yet again.
And I behold
The Face of God.
I live,
Knowing Love,
Yet still,
I wait for you.
Eternity has a door,
God knocks from His side,
I listen for you.
Pray but open the latch.
That you might die no more,
And free from sin,
Enter in.
There is yet more.
Who really died that day?

PROTECT #ABQ WOMEN & CHILDREN

SIGN THE PLEDGE TO PROTECT WOMEN & CHILDREN FROM LATE-TERM ABORTION
DON'T LISTEN TO THE RHETORIC,
GET THE FACTS
LATE-TERM ABORTION IN
NEW MEXICO DOES NOT PROTECT
WOMEN'S HEALTH
OR SAFETY
- Abortion is legal for any reason through all nine months of pregnancy in New Mexico until the day of birth.
- Albuquerque is home to the largest late-term abortion facility in the country and is considered the late-term abortion capital of the nation.
- Out-of-state doctors travel to our city each week to target the lack of common sense laws and regulations on abortion in New Mexico and profit from the lucrative and dangerous late-term abortion industry.
- Abortion clinics that perform surgical abortion, including dangerous late-term abortion are not classified as ambulatory surgical centers.
- The New Mexico Department of Health has no oversight over abortion clinics in New Mexico–making abortion clinics less safe and accountable than nail salons.

AN IMPORTANT NOTE FROM NEW MEXICO STATE REPRESENTATIVE, YVETTE HERRELL
Dear Friends of
Protect ABQ Women & Children,
My name is Yvette Herrell, and as a New Mexico State Representative, I applaud the work of the local, grassroots-led effort, Protect ABQ Women & Children, to ban late-term abortions in Albuquerque.Sadly, New Mexico is one of the few states that allow for abortions for any reason until the day of birth because it is difficult to pass common-sense restrictions through state legislative committees. Year after year, measures to protect the health and safety of women and children fail because of a handful of legislators who block those measures from getting to a full vote in the House or Senate. It is for this reason that nail salons have more oversight than abortion facilities in New Mexico. The abortion industry lobby has a stronghold in our state. Those that do not want this ban to pass, are not telling the truth about protecting women's health -- as it is much more dangerous for a mother to have a late-term abortion than to give birth. That's why we must work even harder to reach every voter in Albuquerque and get them out to vote for the "Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Ordinance." This is a history-making vote that you can be an important part of. I am asking on behalf of Protect ABQ Women & Children for any donations that you are able to make to help pass the 20-week abortion ban that will ban abortion halfway through pregnancy and beyond. Early In-Person and Absentee voting begins on October 21. That means we only have a few days to get the message out to ban this horrific and dangerous practice in Albuquerque. Your contribution of $15, $35 or $50 can go a long way in helping to protect our women and children -- and put a stop to the thriving late-term abortion industry in Albuquerque -- which is home to the largest late-term abortion facility in the country. Thank you for your assistance, we look forward to a victory with your help. Again we are asking for any amount that you can help with. Please donate here, now. Thank you for your generosity and support.
Sincerely,
Representative Yvette Herrell New Mexico House of Representatives

Today’s Flowers
Today, as I pick flowers,
From the garden of life,
In which You have
Chosen to plant me,
By the gift,
You have granted me,
From Your Most Holy Cross,
In giving me
Your very own Mother,
I press each blossom,
Fresh and humble,
Into the open
Hand of Mother Mary.
I await,
With great expectation,
The magnificent bouquet,
The Woman is arranging,
As she gathers
In Her Immaculate Heart,
All the prayers,
Works, and sacrifices,
Proffered by the saints,
Poured out in faith,
Through the ages.
May the sweet aroma,
Scent the hope
Of this day,
And please You,
You, Who,
In the Love,
That brought You
To Your Cross,
Receive my heart's desire,
As You accepted
The precious tears
Of the Magdalen,
And the sweet anointing oil,
Lavished upon You,
In repentant sorrow.
You, Who love eternally,
Those who love much,
In return for Your Divine
And undying forgiveness
Press these,
All abloom,
To Your Most Sacred Heart.

Catholic Groups Criticize Pelosi’s Claim That Abortion Is ‘Sacred Ground’ | Daily News | NCRegister.com
Prominent Catholics and members of the pro-life movement denounced statements by House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi that, as a Catholic, she views the protection of late-term abortion as “sacred ground.”
Maureen Ferguson, senior policy adviser for the Catholic Association, called it “amazing” that the trial of Philadelphia abortionist Kermit Gosnell “did not touch Nancy Pelosi's heart.”
“What we learned from the Gosnell trial and what we understand is going on inside other clinics is not only human-rights abuse' but it also puts women in harm’s way,” she said in a statement.
Gosnell was a Philadelphia late-term abortionist who was recently convicted of several counts of first-degree murder for the killing of infants who survived his abortion attempts, among other crimes and health violations.
During a June 13 press conference, Pelosi was questioned about the matter by a reporter who asked what the moral difference was between legal late-term abortions and the infanticides of babies of the same age committed by Gosnell.
The question came in reference to Pelosi's opposition to a bill introduced in Congress to ban late-term abortions after 20 weeks gestation unless doctors deemed the mother’s life or basic health were deemed to be at risk.
Pelosi did not answer the question, saying instead that the bill was an effort to ensure that “there will be no abortion in our country.”
She also framed the protection of late-term abortion as a matter of faith.
“As a practicing and respectful Catholic, this is sacred ground to me when we talk about this,” she said. “I don't think it should have anything to do with politics.”

Song of Salvation
Sing Lord
To make of me a song
Rising on the wind
Spreading throughout the land.
By the movement of Your tune
I proclaim Your Love.
By the rushing of Your Spirit
Borne anew on hallowed wings,
I announce the Year of Favor.
Proclaim
Reclaim. Reclaim.
Reclaim Your own.
Seat sons and daughters
Of Your Love
Upon Your Heart
On Mercy throne.

August Queen of Heaven–Powerful Exorcism Prayer
H/T Barb at Suffering With Joy
A powerful exorcism prayer
Many years ago a spiritual director gave me a holy card with this prayer on the back written in French, and told me to say it every day. The prayer came about this way:
On the thirteenth of January, 1864, the Venerable Father Louis Cestac, founder of the Congregation of the Servants of Mary, was given a vision of the demons of hell spread all over the earth doing indescribable damage, running riot everywhere. At the same time, the Blessed Virgin appeared to him and gave him this prayer, saying that the time had come to spread it all over the world, and that God wished it to be done. What interests me about the history of this prayer is that it predates the St. Michael prayer written as a result of a vision of Pope Leo XIII by approximately 40 years later, and that it clearly derives from Gen. 3:15.
When we are doing our best to live the Faith and to witness to Christ, we will be attacked. Hard. The work of the demons is unceasing and we experience it physically, mentally, and spiritually. Sometimes it seems like many things are conspiring to disturb our peace of mind and wear us out. This is their invisible work bearing visible consequences.
Our loving Mama Mary, the one given us by Jesus at the foot of the Cross, the one who shared His passion most deeply, the one He desires us to love and venerate, wishes not one soul to be overcome by hell. We invoke our powerful and loving mother under the title of “August Queen of Heaven and Sovereign Mistress of Angels” to use the power given her by God to dispel demons.
Pope St. Pius X approved this prayer for indulgences. The power of the keys.
August Queen of Heaven
August Queen of Heaven, Sovereign Mistress of Angels, you who at the beginning received from God
the power and the mission to crush the head of Satan,
we beseech you humbly, send your holy legions so that,
on your orders and by your power, they will track down demons,
fight them everywhere, curb their audacity and plunge them into the abyss.
Who is like God?
Oh good and tender Mother,
you will always be our love and our hope.
Oh divine Mother, send the Holy Angels and Archangels to defend me
and to keep the cruel enemy far from me.
Holy Angels and Archangels defend us, protect us. Amen.

Good Friday of the Passion of Our Lord
“It was now about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour, 45while the sun’s light failed; and the curtain of the temple was torn in two. 46Then Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, ‘Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit!’” (Lk 23:44-46).As Jesus died on the cross, all laws failed. Roman laws had accused an innocent man, natural laws had ceased to exist, and the moral law inherent in man’s own heart had crucified our Savior. As the centurion stated in Luke 23:47, “Certainly this man was innocent!”
As we continue in our reflection through Holy Week, today we must come to accept that justice may not exist in our cause. Things may not seem fair. It’s as if we must hold our breath… progress suspended.
Today’s paradox is we know a Godly commitment leads to good. We recognize that God is present with us as we strive to do His will. We have hope that new life will come; but today, unfortunately, can feel like a place without justice. Today, only the law of love remains.

Your Presence
Your presence is all around me,
And Your glory shines forth
From even the smallest of Your creation.
If I were to feel Your effects all day long
I would live in tears,
Rejoicing with tearful gladness,
And weeping, conscious of my desert.
So I avert my gaze from these flowers of love
That I may carry on
Keeping my feet anchored on earth,
Though my soul would have me take flight
And keep company with the angels.
My spirit strains upward
As over and above all
I reach for You in humility of heart,
Worn out by Your mercies,
Never tiring in Your consolation.
Come Holy Spirit!
Make Your home in me
With customary gentleness.

Rend Your Heart and Not Your Garments
This “return to me with all your heart,” then, is a reminder that not only involves the individual but the entire community. Again we heard in the first reading: “Blow the horn in Zion! Proclaim a fast, call an assembly! Gather the people, sanctify the congregation; Assemble the elderly; gather the children, even infants nursing at the breast; Let the bridegroom leave his room, and the bride her bridal tent (vv. 15-16).
The community dimension is an essential element in faith and Christian life. Christ came “to gather the children of God who are scattered into one” (Jn. 11:52). The “we” of the Church is the community in which Jesus brings us together (cf. Jn. 12:32), faith is necessarily ecclesial. And it is important to remember and to live this during Lent: each person must be aware that the penitential journey cannot be faced alone, but together with many brothers and sisters in the Church…”

Mercy Triumphs!–VIDEO

Thus, in the commercial the man considers all Satan’s trinkets against the glories of mercy and he chooses mercy. He know the cost, but considers it acceptable if he can but have mercy for himself, without the Devil as a partner. How about you?
A final detail worth noting in the commercial: At the bottom of the proposed contract held out by Satan is a backward Chi Rho (The Greek abbreviation for “Christ”) and the Latin Inscription Sigilla posuere magister diabolus et daemones (Master seal of the Devil and demons. The backward initials recalls an image of the anti-Christ. And the Latin is more literally means “A seal to set the Devil and demons (as) Master.”
In the end that is the choice. You will have the master your choose. And of this the Lord reminds we must choose one and only one:
No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money. (Matt 6:24)
Whose coins are in your pocket and whose seal is on them? The choice is yours. You are free to choose, but you are not free NOT to choose. You can have it all now, or store it up bravely for later:
Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also (Matt 6:19-21)
Why not be Benz (brave) and choose Mercedes (mercy)?
In the end the Scripture is fulfilled for the man which says, Resist the Devil and he will flee (James 4:2)

All You Have Given Me
I love You, Lord.
You embrace me
In our communion of Eucharist.
I believe in Your love for the sinner.
I am that sinner.
You come to me.
I am empty and poor,
Yet, You make my poverty Your paradise.
Here I bring to You
All You have given me.
Behold Your streaming waters
Tumbling over my rocky ground.
Your light penetrates my depths,
The caverns of my heart
Yield their darkness
To You, O Holy Sun!
Sit here beside me in the silence,
As praise becomes
An uncontainable river within me.
Flow from my humble abode
To water Your thirsting world without.
Delight, O Lord,
As the crashing thunder
Of majestic waves
Rise before You
In a crescendo of thanksgiving,
Finally pounding down
Upon the shore of my unworthiness.
They ebb and flow
And gather strength
As I remember Your Mercies.
All You have given me,
I receive now in humble gratitude.

Who really died?
Who really died?
I never saw
The light of day.
Black descended,
Of a kind
I knew not,
Then no more.
How did I know you?
All I knew was you.
You flavored my becoming,
Your genes, my genes,
Your feelings,
Emotional rhythms,
Touching me
By blood connection.
All this,
And then no more.
How did I feel you?
Warmth, gentle rocking
To and fro.
I felt you,
Heart-sounds surrounding me,
Pressing me,
Impressing me.
You whooshed at times
And hummed.
And then no more.
How did I leave you?
I knew anguish
As once I knew you,
Your blood feeding mine,
I knew as parting,
Leaving behind mother
As gift withdrawn,
And bid goodbye.
Too young for endings,
Too soon to die,
And then no more.
How now and by and by?
Sorrow and black
And then the Light.
New Day, as womb,
Enfolded me.
Life ended
To begin again.
And I behold
The Face of God.
I live,
And still I wait for you,
Knowing in love,
There is yet more.
Who really died?

The Words Hung on My Lips.
I wanted to pray
I wanted to be
In Your Presence.
I wanted to feel
Good again,
To lift myself
Out of myself,
Out of my sorrow.
I looked about me.
The world was on fire.
I could not see.
I could not find one thing
To light my candle.
There was not a breath of air.
I could feel the dark.
It pressed
And weighed
And held me down,
Like trying to run
In a dream,
My efforts went
For naught,
Amidst a paralyzing fear,
My feet are bound,
Phantoms tying them
To the ground.
I wanted to lift my heart,
So that I could sing again.
Where was the music?
Who could play it for me?
Was I really alone?
You used to play with me.
You used to be with me,
And dance with me,
And sing with me.
I used to stand
With the others,
Raise my hands,
Open my mouth,
And proclaim my love
For You.
Where are You now?
Where have You gone?
Or was it me
Who wondered off,
Who was dragged down,
Who fell
And did not rise?
I remember Your Promise
To forgive.
I need that;
I need that forgiveness.
Give it to me now!
I am still Yours.
You have been seeking me.
I know that.
I didn't want to know that.
But I always knew that.
Find me now!
Here I am.
Now, I want You.
I want to feel
God again,
And I know
You'll come.

Haunting Silence
Time to name the monster
Who stirs at night.
Who lives within
To hide our sin.
Time to make room,
In memory's caverns,
Rather than banish,
What simply won't vanish.
You had a choice once,
That gave birth to phantoms,
Making you live your choice,
Silencing not its voice.
The monster lives and grows,
Curled and caved in your heart.
When the Light goes out,
It walks about.
Its countenance a disfigurement,
Frightful yet your own.
Its dwelling through the years,
Fraught with reticence and tears.
Has it no right?
No place of rest?
When the day is done,
No place in the sun.
Most monsters are but part
Of our fallen selves,
Standing in the way
Of each new day.
The way out
Is also within.
Give the chimera a name.
Acknowledge its claim.
Give the silence life,
Life for the living,
For what you kill,
Haunts you still.
Time to embrace,
And wrap the past in Mercy.
Give it a womb,
Instead of a tomb.

Enemy, Mine
Oh, dear enemy,
How you bless me with opportunity,
For prayer,
For patience,
For trust in God,
And to implore His counsel.
You and I are called
To know and love
The Lord Jesus.
Without Him,
There is only Darkness,
And descent
Into greater and greater sin.
Abraham believed,
And it was credited to him,
As justice.
Moses promised the Prophet’s Day.
John the Baptist
Prepared His Way,
And recognized the Lamb
Who would be slain.
Oh, enemy mine,
As we engage in battle
For men's's souls,
Let us take care
Not to lose our own.
Abraham was the Father
Of a race,
Who would love
And serve the True God.
Moses was a trusted servant,
John was the best man,
Greater than all born of woman.
To these God revealed Himself.
Each had his day,
Then departed,
And made way,
That the Name of God
Revealed to Joseph
And the humble Virgin,
Might capture the hearts
Of the enemies of God,
Living in Sin.
Loving us,
While we were yet sinners,
He won the battle,
We now fight.
He is and will be the only victor,
With those who fear not recognize Him,
Rush to His Side,
And bow under his Banner
Of Love and Mercy.
O, enemy mine,
We were partners in Sin,
Let us become partners in Love,
Beneath the Cross of One,
Who in dying bore the Curse
And reconciled the world
To "Abba" God.
